Who we are
Prime Rentals INC. is a taxi service operating in Guyana. For this website we are the data controller under Guyana's Data Protection Act 2023 (Act No. 18 of 2023). Questions about this policy or your data: primerentalsgt@gmail.com or 592-638-3642.
What we collect
The ride request form asks for four things, and nothing more:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your pickup location
- Your destination
This website sets no cookies and does not track you. If you call or message us directly instead of using the form, we receive only what your phone or WhatsApp normally shares.
Why we collect it
For one purpose: to arrange the ride you asked for — contacting you to confirm the booking, quoting your fare, and sending a driver to the right place. We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or share them with anyone beyond the services listed below.
Providing your details is voluntary, but without them we cannot arrange your ride.
Where your information goes
When you submit the form, two things happen:
- A pre-filled message opens in WhatsApp (operated by Meta) for you to send to us. It is covered by WhatsApp's own terms and encryption.
- A copy of the request is emailed to our booking inbox through formsubmit.co, a form-delivery service, and stored in Gmail (Google).
These providers operate outside Guyana (chiefly in the United States). We send them only the minimum needed to arrange your ride, in line with the Act's rules on overseas transfers — the transfer happens with your consent and because it is necessary to carry out the service you requested.
How long we keep it
We keep ride request records for as long as they are needed to run the business — confirming and completing your ride, resolving any dispute, keeping our accounts, and meeting legal obligations — and no longer than necessary, as the Data Protection Act 2023 requires. When a record is no longer needed for any of these purposes, we delete it.
You don't have to wait for that: you can ask us to delete your data at any time (see Your rights below), and we do so without undue delay unless a law requires us to keep it.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act 2023 you have the right to:
- Ask whether we hold personal data about you, and receive a copy
- Have inaccurate details corrected
- Ask us to delete your data
- Ask us to restrict or object to how it is used
- Complain to Guyana's Data Protection Commissioner
How we protect it
This site is served over HTTPS. We collect the minimum information needed, access to the booking inbox is restricted, and records are deleted when they are no longer needed.
